Discord deactivated because of age?
"Hello,
It's very important to Discord that we provide a safe and friendly environment for our community. We've determined that your account violates our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. Therefore, we've suspended your account for the following reason:
You have indicated that you are under 13 years old or have not yet reached the age of digital consent in your country. You can find out the minimum age for using Discord in your country here: https://dis.gd/age-gate
For legal reasons, we must enforce our age restrictions and therefore, if you appeal, we must confirm your age.
To verify your age, please take a photo of yourself (a selfie) that includes BOTH of these things:
1) A photo ID showing your date of birth
2) A piece of paper with your Discord username on it (including the last 4 digits after your username)
All information must be visible in ONE photo.
Once you've taken the photo, submit a request here: https://dis.gd/request and select "Update my age on Discord" under "Trust and Safety."
Best regards
The Discord Trust and Safety team"
I received this email this morning. My account is already two years old, and when I created it, I remembered saying I was 14, so I'm 16 now. But what do they want with my personal information, and why all of a sudden only after two years?
Because without that, you noticed.
They want your personalities, not to determine whether you have actually delivered everything right or deliberately lied to them.
But that seems to be new, because I have several accounts, and that’s just meeting me on my main account is pretty funny.
Well, it’s just this one account so far. This means, however, that not the same will happen to the others.
Anything. Either messages or the support has noticed during a review.
Just ask where you want to know more. They don’t have to tell you.
what do you think? Did people tell me about my age or how should I understand?
