  • After I had showered, I went to the kitchen and breakfast / I went to the kitchen and breakfast.
  • After having breakfast, I went to school / I went to school.
  • Because I had not learned enough, I put the test in the sand / I put the test in the sand.

Action 1: After + Plusquamperfekt, Action 2: Preteriority or Perfect

That’s right now or always!

  • After I got up, I’ll shower.
  • After I showered, I go to the kitchen and breakfast.
  • After having breakfast, I go to school
  • If/if I have not learned enough, it can happen that I put a test in the sand.

Action 1: After + Perfect, Action 2: Present

If everything is in the future:

  • After I got up, I’ll shower.
