Theft at DHL, any options?
A package arrived today from DHL (jewelry from Amazon). It immediately struck me as odd, because the package had been opened and then resealed with postal tape ("Repackaged by Deutsche Post DHL"). I opened it, and, surprise, the jewelry was missing (only the empty box was inside). There was also a pen/marker inside (presumably to compensate for the missing weight so it wouldn't be noticeable).
In short, someone opened the package and stole the jewelry inside. It wasn't that bad, it wasn't overly expensive. What bothers me is:
Nobody cares. DHL won't allow any contact (contact the sender), Amazon says, "Yeah, no problem, money back." When asked if they wanted to file a report somehow or if they were interested in the photos (I've documented it, I'm always a bit paranoid about these things) – nope.
A theft was committed here, and nobody cares? That can't be right? Isn't there some address or contact information to report this directly to DHL? Don't they have a vested interest in finding criminals among their employees?
I'm truly baffled. Not about the theft, but about the complete indifference of everyone involved… Is this okay today or what? So if anyone has any tips, please let me know. Maybe there's a DHL contact person for this kind of thing. My sense of justice really raises my blood pressure when it comes to things like this…
Did you turn to customer service? They always helped me as a private customer.
DHL is our logistics partner in terms of storage and shipping. I actually perceive them as very reliable and if there are problems, always interested in a solution. If you like to be beaten to them, they do what they can and may.
I don’t blame them either. I can’t do anything for their employees.
You shouldn’t exaggerate that doesn’t believe you

What do you mean, how many deliveries on Amazon are coming off daily? That’s one of them.

No. You have already given the answer yourself: “DHL does not make contact…”
Be happy that Amazon reimburses the money out of cash and give you satisfaction. Because they don’t have to accept the package even though it was damaged.

If a package with the DHL repackt adhesive tape has been closed again, then it is always recommended to refuse acceptance.
You should contact the sender. It can take all necessary steps.
Unfortunately picked up from the packing station. There it is impossible to deny acceptance or as soon as you see it you have already heard it =/ But yes, I will have to find out that it doesn’t interest anyone (but Amazon doesn’t care).
