Didn't pass the exam?
Hello, I'm 62 now. I failed my butcher's saleswoman exam back then. But up until now (about 41 years old) I've worked as a saleswoman in the butcher's trade at various shops/markets. I've been working at a new company for about 1.5 years now. Now I'm suddenly supposed to get an exam certificate from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. I can't get one if I didn't pass it about 40 years ago. Is something like that absolutely necessary?
They hired you 1.5 years ago and had no certificate in the application documents. Why do they want one now? They have accepted that you have no witness and have still hired you. They gave you an employment contract. So, I don’t think they can put a leg on you now.
If it really is, you have to explain that you don’t have one and can’t get it now!♀️ Perhaps it is only a question of qualification and corresponding remuneration, but it is not a reason for such a termination. If so, I’d fight this because they finally hired you without this witness.
There has been a control of hygiene, but also folders have been controlled. Here, this was then contested. It was an external control, not directly from the supermarket/employer.
Then there’s nothing left to you to tell you what it is. Better ask for a conversation with the boss. Isn’t that bad, there’s a certain solution.
I would say that it has disappeared and that unfortunately no more documents exist at the IHK from 40 years ago.
Question: Of course, the employer can ask for the submission, but if it’s gone….? You can’t do anything.
Necessary.
