Did the installation service do something wrong?

Hello,

We bought a new hob because our old one broke. When the people who installed it arrived and looked at the wiring, they said they'd never seen anything like it. In the end, they told us they didn't want to do it because they couldn't be responsible for making the change. This is a fitted kitchen and is very old (so no warranty).

My question to you is whether the statement is so accurate that the work here was not done correctly

I'll go to the place where we commissioned the kitchen and talk to them.

I wanted to find out beforehand whether there was any truth to it and then I could argue accordingly.

Thank you for your help in advance.

On the photo you can see any freely flying cabling wrapped with insulating tape. The Monteures were completely right to go.

It didn’t install a professional, but someone “bastelt”.

First of all, an electrician must lay a safe and permissible stove connection line.

In addition to the previous answers (because I absolutely agree):

In the case of a water damage (e.g. a defective drain pump of the dishwasher), a water cap will quickly form at these points (under cabinets) in the kitchen. With me in the kitchen this has just happened.

Just imagine this “guide” on which 400 V are located, now be in such a puddle. The dishwashing salt for water softening also does not make a safety-increasing contribution… 😉

Yeah, they’re right.

Kitchen installers are strangely never electricians.

The photo you send is already three times wrong.

Your technicians have acted perfectly correctly
