Diary gone – how to start?

I recently moved, and apparently my box with all my old diaries was accidentally identified as trash and thrown away.

I have now bought a new one, but I have the following problem:

How do I catch up on all of this now? I had written down important memories and experiences in my diaries, the process of getting to know some of my friends, etc.

Do I now always have to explain who is who and where I know them from?

Do I need to write a summary of my life?

Or should I just keep writing as if it were my old diary?

Just keep writing. Yeah, it’s a shame they’re all gone.

but it doesn’t rewrite everything.

as you want. you MUSST nothing! you know ya who who is so you can just write so on, but it can also be helpful (if you read it after decades again) if you can read who is.

you write tags book for you and no one else so you need to know yourself if you want to write it all down or not

You only write a diary for yourself. You don’t need to explain to yourself who is and a summary of your life you don’t need.
Try to see it positive, the old ballast is gone and you start to (write)
