Device Manager Windows 11 (Camera)?

I have a Gygabyte gaming laptop with Windows 11 home edition, the camera doesn't work, at some point I found the error, there is no camera in the device manager and no unknown file. Can someone tell me how I should install (use) the camera?

I didn’t mean the driver. A little further down in the thread describes a possible solution path via the Gigabyte Control Center. The camera should be activated there. This seems to have helped at least 2 users in this thread.

If it’s not the driver you need to release the apps in the settings. The easiest way is to enter KAMERA below. Then an app opens to control the camera directly.

If you don’t find a camera, it’s probably the driver.

Then I would download and reinstall the driver from Gigabyte.

Then it could also be a hardware problem. The camera is connected to the motherboard via a long cable. This can be solved.

If it doesn’t happen, I’ve had it before.

PS: Virus scanners such as Kaspersky can also prevent access to the camera.

See if there is an image processing device in the device manager.

Before first use, the apps that are allowed to access the camera must be unlocked. The same applies to the microphone.

Is there a key on your keyboard that connects and disconnects the webcam? – F10 maybe? – Check in your user manual.
