Deutsche Bahn money back refund ticket?

I bought a ticket this morning and boarded the train. After less than 10 minutes, I was asked to leave the train and get off at the next station. Then I waited in the station for about 3.5 hours for a replacement train, or at least one that would take me home. After that didn't work out, I decided to take a taxi…

Is there any way I can get my money back? I bought the ticket online. Deutsche Bahn, or vrr, is the way to go.

Good evening.

In this case, you will get:

-free return

– Full refund of tickets

– Recruitment services (i.e. food and drink in the railway station if nothing has been offered and the bill is still there)

You only need to send the form, ticket and documents to the Servicecenter passenger rights.

DB has said that if the trains fall through this winter storm now, the ticket will be valid from the day when it is valid for 7 more days.
But that only applies if the failure of your train has to do with the weather chaos. Otherwise fill out a passenger rights form and send passenger rights to the Servicecenter, as it has said 😉

However, this is about a network of traffic, so the codes of DB Fernverkehr have nothing to do with this.

The mobility guarantee does not apply to force majeure.

It wasn’t said why it happened. And as long as this is not the case, I do not go into special regulations.

3.5 hours waiting time can actually be nix different than the snow storm. I’m sure you’ll be able.

If the journey is cancelled due to delay, train failure or connection loss, you are entitled to reimbursement of the fare.

More force has been excluded since the latest.

Excluded is then e.g. the refund of taxi or overnight accommodation costs, but not the refund of the paid fare.

I don’t know, that’s exactly what I haven’t followed.

But was it not planned otherwise, so that there is still a claim to reimbursement of taxi and hotel costs even in case of force majeure, but only no compensation in case of force majeure?

Yeah, that was misunderstood now. Appropriate reports were received by the media at the end of January (e.g. here), the changes in passenger rights are not yet in force. This will be the case only two years after the confirmation of the reform plans by the EU Parliament.

Since when?

Yeah, you can get the full ticket price. Leave it. To do this, simply complete a passenger rights form and send passenger rights to the Servicecenter.

The question is, why were you asked to leave the train?

I don’t hope, because since yesterday noon we’ve been warned of train trips.

And for violence between the ears and the weather, the train driver can’t do anything.
