Derivative price connection price fluctuations when the stock exchange is closed?
Hello dear people, I would now be interested in the following:
I recently opened a long position in the E-mini Dow Jones, and I'm currently up almost €40 (the stock market is closed). However, the E-mini Dow Jones is still rising/falling on the market.
My question is, what happens if the price of the E mini Dow Jones falls overnight until the stock market opens at 8 a.m.? Will my derivative fall as well, or will the price of the derivative stay the same and then fall/rise exactly when the market reopens?

Dir scheint die grundlegende Mechanik von Futures nicht bekannt zu sein. Das ist wie Fallschirmspringen erstmal ohne Fallschirm zu testen.
Börsenkurse “bewegen” sich immer. Denn ein Börsenkurs ist, was Menschen meinen, dass eine Sache wert wäre.
Bewegt sich der Börsenkurs in der Nacht – und zwar in den Köpfen der Händler – so schlägt sich das zum nächsten open-Kurs nieder. (siehe Antwort Nakaron)
Handeln solltest Du allerdings eher zu Öffnungszeiten, weil da die Spreads geringer sind und damit Deine Gewinne höher.

Das Derivat verhält sch genau so wie das Underlying. Wenn es beim Derivat keinen Handel gibt, eröffnet er mit einem Gap.
