The refrigerator no longer beeps when the door is open. When I called customer service, I was told that my refrigerator doesn't have this feature.

I might need your opinion because I feel like I'm going crazy over this issue. We purchased a Miele refrigerator through our kitchen planner a while ago. Right from the start, we noticed that an audible alarm would sound whenever the top refrigerator door was open. Several people independently noticed this, and we always closed the door because of the alarm.

Recently, however, we noticed that the alarm no longer sounds when the door is open. We then contacted our kitchen designer, who advised us to contact Miele Service, who said the refrigerator was still under warranty.

Miele service finally came, but to our surprise, the technician told us that our refrigerator wasn't equipped with an open door alarm at all. This couldn't be the reason why the alarm had been sounding earlier. We were also told that our warranty had already expired and we would have to pay €160 for the service call.

This situation is extremely confusing for us, as we are certain that the alarm was always audible when the door was open. There were also several witnesses who can confirm this. Now the question arises: Are we being misled in some way, or is it actually possible that an alarm was present without the refrigerator officially having this function? Or have we really been imagining things for a period of two years?

We are currently very uncertain and would like to ask for advice
