Do you think it is wrong to use ChatGPT at least to find other ideas or similar things while programming?
Hey people,
Some people have people write entire code blocks for them. I don't do that. I'm more interested in entering it when I have a problem, so they can maybe show me another approach.
For example, I once had to influence something in a program where I didn't know how to get to it or whether it was even possible to access it.
Chatgpt basically gave me a line that would allow me to do exactly that. I probably would have had to spend ages Googling for that.
Do you think it’s bad to at least use such tools?
In the example above, it probably saved me quite a bit of time.
No, it’s not wrong. If it works… I must say, however, that I have already asked for a “improvement” of a code at ChatGPT. The result was that nothing worked later. But you can use ChatGPT as a thought shot.
I don’t think so. Then I would also have to find it bad to googles or read in a book. Because I also serve the knowledge that others have created.
The meaning of an AI like ChatGPT is straight, quick and easy to get to the information you are looking for without having to search for it forever or reinvent the wheel itself.
Do not think that it is a shame to use ChatGPT
For such applications, the software seems to be a very effective tool.
If the code works at the end, everything is good.
Yes, as I said, only the one line needed, Chat GPT delivered me a whole block.
So you have to understand what’s going on, at least if you use it for a specific problem.
No AI, no Google, no Wikipedia, no book, no conversation can take you off yourself. Of course you have to know/understand what you do, otherwise you don’t use the best tool. This is not different to ChatGPT, for example, a hammer.
In this case, it’s just a tool that makes life easier for you.
If all others use it, you are even forced to use it. Otherwise you’ll get bad because you need three times as long as the competition.
as a programmer you can use what you want as long as it helps you and you achieve the desired result. whether you’re copying google now or chatgpt doesn’t matter.
as a student or jmd wants to learn this, is actually stupid. you sabotage yourself.
yes I am no longer a pupil, rather work on a project by which I should implement those declared “not feasible” by some other programmers.
It also usually seems to realize the things. I don’t just rely on my own knowledge.
Right, thanks.
It doesn’t matter how you get input. It’s important that you learn from it.
