All the stuff in my Downloads folder takes up almost 8GB
That's why I wanted to delete it, but I downloaded CC stuff for Sims (which I saved in a separate folder). Will it be deleted from these folders too?
And what happens to the downloaded games in the Downloads folder that I haven't saved anywhere else?

When I try to transfer files from my USB stick to my PC, it's very fast at 120 MB/s, but then for 10-20 seconds it's only around 300 kb/s. Why is that?

all files in your download folder that you mark and delete are first pushed into the recycle bin.
If you make a right-click on the recycle bin then you can choose “Delete Recycle Bin” and then the files are finally deleted and you have more storage space.
Otherwise you can uninstall or uninstall the games seperat, for example in your Windows under Programs.
