Deleting your account via the app is incredibly easy. Here's how:

1. Access your profile via “Me” in the bottom right corner of the app.
2. On Android devices, tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner; on iPhones, tap the three-line menu.
3. Go to “Settings and Privacy”.
4. Tap “Manage Account” and then “Delete Account” at the bottom of the screen.
5. State the reason why you decided to delete and follow the next steps.

Important to note: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible after the 30-day deactivation period. You will then no longer be able to access videos you have published or content you have purchased in the past. Furthermore, you cannot request a refund for the latter. Shared information or written chat messages, however, will remain visible to other TikTok users even after deletion.

Delete Tiktok account via browser

A second way to permanently say goodbye to the social media platform is to delete the account via the browser;

1. Click on your profile picture in the top left corner.
2. Select “Settings”.
3. Now click on “Manage account” and then on “Delete account”.
4. Follow the instructions to permanently delete the account.

Even if you delete via the browser, you will be given a 30-day deactivation period during which you can reconsider your actions and return to the social media service at any time – or not.
