Degu?
Hi,
I've decided to get some degus. I've done some research and am wondering if anyone knows of a good website or store where I can get good, species-appropriate accessories, furnishings, food, and other items? If anyone knows anything, please let me know.
https://deguladen.de/
for food and equipment
and https://smalltiervilla.de/
However, if the price is too high, you can also build yourself and get inspiration there.
Where did d get your cradle?
the webside with the villas for the degus, they’re all open at the top, they can go away, right? And the cats get better, right?
Look at Voliere
on the side, for example, also cradles for guinea pigs, which are of course open at the top

Thanks for the tip
And remember, by the way, at degus, these are not animals for gentle minds.
Degus go, even if they understand each other, often very grouping with each other to fight, toss extreme through the cage and tosss loudly and similar are normal, especially in puberty.
Many people do not get clear and start to intervene because they care about their animals and then destroy the groups dynamic with bad luck.
Because just in the puberty that goes at degus until they are two years, there are VERY VIEL Zoff about the ranking
That’s why I also spoke to build up myself, and you get away much cheaper.
Pretty expensive
I’m not full-year so I don’t deserve my pocket money yet and could spend only 500 for a case
but thanks for the help
Since there are practically no truly suitable/good enclosures/cages for degus (except for a few exceptions at the Kleintiervilla, which are very expensive), we converted a wardrobe. Many other degu owners also build their own, for example, using shelving systems.
I'll link you to my little Degu homepage, which I created a long time ago: https://apologys.beepworld.de/index.htm
There you'll not only find useful information, but also see our cabinet renovation and read about the composition of our food mixes. Most of the photos are gone now; we haven't had any degus for a while, but the pictures from the cabinet renovation are still there.
As for the food, I mixed it myself. I bought the individual ingredients from Futterparadies . Here are some pictures of our third mix.

This is not a typo, just an abbreviation of the ingredients that were combined in this mixture

Celery, eggplant cubes, celery cubes, carrot cubes, parsley root, beetroot, tomato flakes, pumpkin cubes, green bell pepper, zucchini
Note: Various food ingredients (e.g. beetroot, tomato, carrot) discolor the animals' urine, so please do not be alarmed if the urine is reddish/brownish.
A lot of interesting information about individual food ingredients and many other topics can be found here: http://www.degupedia.de/wiki/index.php?title=Degupedia:Portal_Degu
I spent a long time reading about degu nutrition.
