Deep hole discovered in the garden with traces?

Good day,

I was in my grandma's garden yesterday and discovered some tracks. They were like paws, but they were pointed and kind of round. The tracks led to a large hole in the middle of the herb bed. You could see that it went down a bit at first and then turned to the right. It was like a passage. Could it possibly be a fox? We've seen foxes in the garden quite often. What else could it be?
