Dealer wants pictures of the already sold car for the TÜV?

A friend of mine bought a used car (a Corsa D) for €3,000 about two weeks ago. The dealer wanted to register the car with the traffic department for her. Since nothing had happened after a week, my friend called them and asked for her vehicle documents so she could register it herself.

Now comes the first suspicious part…

The dealer said he couldn't give it to her because the papers were at the traffic department. I've owned seven cars and two motorcycles, as well as various trailers, etc., and I've never had any papers at the department…

Anyway, two days later the dealer suddenly called and said he had the papers back but the car wasn't registered because he didn't have the time… But the car had to be taken off his lot now.

My friend told him she had no way to pick up the unregistered car, nor could she leave it anywhere. The dealer put so much pressure on me that I offered her my garage. That same evening, the dealer brought the car with the red license plate to my garage, where I drove it in. I gave my friend the paperwork and disappeared…

Last night, he wrote again… He had to come back today and take photos of the car… That was extremely important for the TÜV inspector… I've never seen or heard of a TÜV inspector taking photos of a car… Especially since he has a new MOT, so apparently everything's OK…

I told my friend that it was nonsense and that I wouldn't open my garage for him… But she's so trusting and wants him to take the pictures…

If she really wants it, I'll open the garage for her, of course. She's old enough at 38. I've also expressed my concerns to her, but she doesn't want to listen…

Why would the dealer really want pictures? It's not his car anymore. A purchase agreement has been drawn up, and the car will be paid for in full in cash. And my friend has the papers. I'm the kind of person who believes in the evil in people and sees an ambush somewhere.

By the way, it wasn't a car dealership but a small back-alley dealership from which I would never have bought a car myself…

beautiful story… but what does it do now to speculate about the thoughts of a "small backyard dealer" (cite). For a TüV test, the vehicle must be physically located where an official examiner will complete the checklist.

If significant defects are detected at the HU, the examiner can nevertheless issue the plaque if the workshop begins to repair immediately.

If this is done properly, the test report states: "The deficiencies found have been resolved immediately, the date of the deficiencies: XX:XX, the time of the correction: XX:XX".

It is conceivable that defects were present on the vehicle and the dealer has insured to fix them before the handover, whereupon the examiner has given him the plaque in good faith and the defects may not have been listed. Now he wants the dealer to prove that this has actually happened and that the vehicle has not been handed over to the customer insecurely.

Perhaps the acquaintance now, just like the dealer, unfortunately simply has "no time". It was also important for you to pass the vehicle as secured. Perhaps you will find a solution as to how the trader comes to his pictures if you agree on a discount for admission.

There's a lot of speculation, it's bizarre, and it's superb. If I were your acquaintances, I wouldn't be accessible to this dealer anymore.

The whole thing is more than suspicion. There are a few options:

On the one hand: the dealer wants to buy the TÜV without ever having advanced the car (illegal)

The car has not heard the dealer at all and he has sold it illegally (commissioned by the dealer)

However, the papers at the office could also indicate that the "victim" of the car was a forced shutdown and because of xxxxx reasons was withdrawn from traffic.

The photos I would deny to the dealer, he is no longer owner due to the sale, owner is under the line you are, as this is in your garage and owner according to the purchase contract is your acquaintance.

NO! If your acquaintance registers the vehicle, it can also leave the HU itself if not yet.

Apart from that, there is no Tüv examiner who makes an examination according to pictures…

Something's wrong in the front and back!

Best, Anna

You don't believe anything. There was such a tester here in the Mal area. He has entered everything on the basis of pictures and a little colorfully printed cotton paper mixture

Find a tester here in the area of Mal.

I hope I don't need to say anymore, and even I would rather be careful with such advice.

There are even TÜV examiners who do HU without having seen the car at all. Self experienced

These are not only available at the TÜV, but also at other test sites.

That's right. But the data is available. The sale would not be allowed.

As soon as the data are nailed to the computer on an admission point, the system will fire alarm if the data or the FIN is already assigned to another authorization.

But as we all realized, here something stinks to heaven and back

Have you ever seen the vehicle yourself?

A favorable alternative would be to ask for what can be done about Dekra or TÜV because of the pictures. The vehicle was perhaps a confiscated vehicle!?

Safer but more expensive would be a good-night who comes by and says where vulnerabilities explain the funny procedure.

On the papers or elsewhere, maybe the last holder. Most of the time, you could search and call.

Greetings

Suspect! Whatever the trader thinks: I'm trembling some form of fraud.

A Tüv tester doesn't care about the bean for photos of a car. He needs the car on his stage. Otherwise he can't judge anything.

The best thing is to let her fall on the muzzle, she wants it. With some luck, she learns from it – but it is not the case, unfortunately.

Clip and clear – the dealer has sold the car – delivered and nothing more to do with this vehicle. So there is no reason for him to take pictures of this vehicle.

Pronounced girlfriend should allow this car as soon as possible.

I'm sorry, but there seems to be some sort of thing in the sky.

I'd drive the vehicle to the Dekra and let the vehicle be checked. I don't think it's kosher…

This dealer would not enter my property and would not take photos of MY car at all
