Days and bivouac?

Hello, I've been considering joining the Bundeswehr and I'm faced with a big question that might prevent me from doing so. I'm asking for a female soldier's answer: What's it like if you get or have your period during a bivouac? You have to change your sanitary products regularly and shower every day. Do you just communicate this to your superior and get an extra sausage, or how does it work?

You can also wash outside in the forest, then water is cold and out of a canister… If you have a problem with it, you have to learn to deal with it. You can take hygienic articles out and trade them daily.

One hears/reads that with a little creativity and flexibility there is sufficient opportunity to exchange the hygiene articles discreetly. I’ve read an interview somewhere, so it’s called “the men don’t want to know.”

It should be clear that the shower in the Biwak will fall. But in the thousands of years up to 50 years ago, women have survived the menstruation even without a daily shower, so I guess that this is not sooo vital.
