Data backup without NAS?

I'm looking for a simple way to back up my data. This means, in the truest sense, two hard drives that always mirror each other.

But I don't want a NAS system with a server, etc. I just need the mirroring.
It should happen automatically. That means a constant query to see if the hard drives have the same content.

Does anyone here have a simple system or solution? Maybe something like a "shopping list"?

If the hard drive is to be mirrored, only RAID 1 remains. this is a so-called hardware mirror, in which two hard drives are connected to a controller. In normal operation, however, only one of these hard drives can be seen. At least two hard drives are required for this reflection. The identical data are stored on both disks and a full redundancy can be provided. At most, so much Memory how the smallest used hard drive is provided. At the same time, this RAID level has various advantages over others. The RAID 1 one is very simple and the two disks involved are exactly identical. https://www.it-service24.com/datarettung/festplatte/festplatte-spiegelen/

Hi.

If your Board Raid can, simply activate second disk in and Raid1, then the same information is on both disks. For a real data backup external 2.5″ USB fixed and secure from time to time.

A RAID is not a backup.

Hi, yeah, just where is this different from a NAS you didn’t want?

Before: Sorry, if you don’t like the answer now.

A reflection is No Data backup.
