Hello Future567495,
in Germany, drinking water is actually considered the most controlled food ever. Unfortunately, such strict controls do not always exist in other countries. I would also recommend drinking the tap water in the USA unfiltered.

One more supplement: In order to be able to drink the tap water without any doubt in Germany, it is recommended to carry out a water analysis at home, since pollutants can form in pipes and fittings.
Yes, Americans are shocked when they see that they drink water from the water tap in the country.
I’ve often experienced in USA. There is water for free to eat. It was often disgusting.
In Germany alone would not be possible for hygiene reasons
The water network (like many other infrastructures) is quite marode in the USA in many areas. A little more chlorine is rather tipped into the water. It’s drinking, but it tastes terrible. The amis in the areas have got used to it, and the mineral water industry is delighted.
You also buy water bottles in the USA and drink them. No man drinks out of the faucet.
They already have a water filter.
From me. All my relatives and friends there just drink water bottles.
It’s not like that in all areas.
