That has become incredibly expensive, hasn't it?

Lately, my brother has been spending more than €60 on groceries at Aldi. In extreme cases, it's sometimes even €90. I think inflation has made prices incredibly expensive over the past two years. I'm telling him he needs to pay more attention to the prices when he's shopping, because otherwise it'll just get too expensive for us. The euro has also contributed a lot to this.

Yes, everything has become more expensive and will be more expensive, the assertion that inflation goes back here is eyewitness. If we have normal 4% inflation, last year 10% and now again 5%, all is approx. 20,1% more expensive.

Yes, the prices especially for some basic foods have increased significantly.

No, inflation does not increase prices, the increase in prices is inflation. The cause and effect you have swapped here.

No, you can’t really save if you don’t give up certain things. Aldi is not especially brandy in the range now, because often there is not much air. And whether €60-90 is a lot now depends heavily on what period. If this is the weekly purchase and you will get two to €250-350 per month, then I don’t find it expensive (so expensive, but not wasting).

No, the euro has not had a detectable share of it. The effect is psychological because the DM prices are mentally frozen at the level of the time. So one always compares with something that has been many years ago. Of course, the bread once cost 2.50 DM, but at that time it also had 2000 DM net and not 1800 €.

This was not inflation, but the companies that exploit your market power.

The euro has also contributed a lot to this.

How long has it been that the euro has replaced the DMark? 22 years.

I have never claimed that, but my understanding is enough to understand that the elimination of trade barriers in most cases has significant economic advantages for the net exporters and/or Countries that earn value and not raw materials in particular. Of course, not every individual skill since the introduction of Euro can have been super-run, but as a causality is already rather dared.

Would you rather ask the right questions, why is your minimum wage only since 2015 and what went wrong before that he became necessary?! I don’t think the currency has a relevant share of it.

I’m not saying things can’t get worse, but you’re looking for the reasons in the wrong place. But simple solutions are always a secret..

The basis you don’t understand is a difference
