Are you allowed to “filter” or push ahead at traffic lights on a scooter in the city?

Hi, are scooter riders (50 cm) allowed to overtake the line of cars waiting at the red light in the city to grab pole position.

Especially at times like these, southern temperatures sometimes prevail here and people don't want to wait in line for so long or are in a hurry.

I mean, ultimately, I'm not hindering any driver with my behavior because by the time the driver has managed to get into first gear, I'm long gone (I'm riding an e-scooter). Or does overtaking count as "endangering" other road users, even if I don't cause an accident, but rather approach as normal and at an appropriate speed?

What punishment could I expect if the police stop me? (Note: I'm still on probation)

Please no answers like "no, it's not allowed", I would prefer something with reasons.

thank you in advance

Hello,

in principle, this is not allowed in Germany. But if there’s enough space, that doesn’t matter.

It’s important if you start thinking if that could still be done, then let it go.

I’ve been driving motorcycles myself for several years and never had problems. I’ve already filtered at traffic lights where a police car was, but as long as there’s enough space, nobody says anything.

Another small tip: Since you have a 50 roller, please limit the filtering only to the city. If you filter out off-site traffic lights, and then you’ll get all over again, it won’t hurt anyone.

what is your experience a good between 0.5m or more 1m

If between your exterior mirrors and the exterior mirrors of the cars is still minimum 10-20cm free.

when I pass by the cars at a good distance and suddenly one in the snake stands more on the side where I drive (for example right) and it becomes narrow. If you stop in the middle of the snake, or don’t stop by any way from the beginning

If it suddenly gets too tight or the traffic lights turn around before you are at the very front, then easily pull in between two cars and find the best look contact with the car behind the car so that it has seen you, then you will also be let in when you start driving.

1-10km/h is a good approach. Anything faster is too dangerous. If you’re smarter, you have the risk that you’ll catch a mirror or that you’ll pull one over and you can’t brake it anymore.

Since traffic lights are often full lines, this is already forbidden until the first car. Then it’s also forbidden because you don’t have enough distance to the traffic/cites

Explicitly forbidden it is not.

However, you will not be able to maintain the StVO in some points, such as the right-handed, the lateral minimum distance or the avoidance of solid lines.

It is therefore practically forbidden. If anything happens, you have a significant partial debt.

if you pass right between the vehicles, that is the forbidden right-hand overtake!

Better leave it.

This is also prohibited.

In the fine catalogue, the reason is named as follows:

In addition, the Commission’s proposal for a Directive on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the approximation of the laws of the Member

“small faster”… you don’t want to tell me you’re going to sneak through the standing vehicles with 20-30 Km/h!

If you like to pay €80, please. And if you pack “not adhered to with overtaking side distance” on it, there are already 110 €…

At the next traffic lights you see each other again.

I wish you no one would open the vehicle doors when you come by.

Swinging is prohibited in Germany.

I mean, in the end, I’m not obstructing a car driver with my behavior because until the car driver succeeds the first race, I’m long gone

Wishful thinking. The reality also looks different, even for you as an e-roller driver.

You can drive your scooter 45. If the next traffic light is not exactly back in 50 meters, you will sooner or later become an obstacle, especially because the drivers feel challenged here. I know what I’m talking about and I’m driving a 125.

The 45 km/h is not due to the state. This applies not only to these small vehicles in Germany. Your 25 km/h are the bigger crap.

The fact is, you in Germany can’t do it, whether you get away fast enough or not. The only way you have legal would be to overtake the column to the left, only that is not possible anywhere.
