Can the entire wages be garnished?

I have some debts, but I can't pay them all at once, so I've agreed to pay in installments with my creditors. Now the problem is that I have to pay €2,500 to one creditor, and they won't agree to pay in installments. My entire monthly salary of €1,400 has been garnished, and I can no longer pay my rent or groceries.
I am with Postbank and have an account there that is protected from garnishment, and there you are allowed to have an allowance of €1,400.
I have always been of the opinion that this is also the case with wage garnishment, that one can have an allowance at one's disposal.
Is it legal to garnish the entire monthly salary?

No – the allowance is also valid for the pay ment of the ArbG – at €1,400 net nothing can be pledged to the ArbG – now the creditor tries to pay at the same time – but also here nothing can be pledged if it is a P account.
