You can drive with RE, RB and S-Bahn, not with IC, EC, ICE or other long distance trains.

Tip: Select “Only Local Transport” from the DB schedule.

For trips in the VRR area (where the chocolate ticket is valid), you can use the VRR app.

The ICE does not belong to the local trains and is therefore not usable with the chocolate ticket. Not at a surcharge.

No, the chocolate ticket is valid only in local traffic, e.g. in RE, RB trains and S trains.
