Can I use these rims on my BMW 1 Series?
Hello everyone,
I drive my BMW 1 Series 118i (E87, hatchback, 2006) with 18-inch Oxigin Concave rims (225/40/R18). These rims also have a vehicle approval.
Now I'd like to switch to Aluett Type 12 rims of the same size. I also found a certificate for these. Can I fit these rims on my 1 Series? It at least says something for (1)87.
Here is the report:
Hello
Attention at V18 must be tested the rolling circumference and the clearance that is only related to the rim then A01 K2b K42 K46 R03 applies
275, 285 and 295 with 30’s side wall on 8″ width is already “comparable”
And BMW releases a maximum of 215 on the E87 front axle, 225 only at M1/135i-M
Have a rim mounted at the rear right and doesn’t look legal, despite expert opinions. See video: https://youtu.be/7MLE-EqA7WM
Hello
Is that really the rims for the opinion 18×8 ET45??
The Oxigin Concave have 7.5″ and/or 8.5″ and ET35, which is still 1.5 cm wide at 8.5 and how did you get through the TÜV decrease with the oxigen?
The oxigin are A01, K1c, K2b, K41, K43, K46 that only goes with body construction and spray protection in the wheel throw area (e.g. BMW M1 Aprons)
http://www.reifencomputer.at/index.html?
The 1ner is a “compact car” or in the golf class there are “small” wheelhouses usual
How do you get that? My girlfriend has on her 1 E87 120d Bj 2006 also around 225/40/18 on 8×18 rims with ET45 AUTOEC type G8018
In the opinion, the same requirements as in the TS.
Hello
According to the opinion, READ the oxigin have 8.5 inch ET35 are therefore outside 16mm “Breiter” as 8″ ET45. And even on oxigin 7,5″ ET35 the fit (4mm latitude) in this respect there is the irritation that 8×18 ET 45 is probably more wide than 8.5×18 ET35 or 7.5×18 ET35
Tires are different “bread” or in the contour after assembly, some are “casual” some are more belly. The chests grind the ball rather at the top of the wheelhouse side part on the wheel running lip so it’s hard to say what’s still “fitting” but it’s about 3-5 mm not about centimeters
Hello
That’s not the point, it was already clear. It is now the case when attaching a “presumable” aluminum 8×18 ET45 wheel, which stands out from the contour at 12 o’clock about 1.5-2cm and the side part looks already “drawn”. Either someone has a 25mm distance welded/glued to the rim or it is 9″
On-line I find a maximum of 8.5×18 ET35 Type12 for VAG. At ATU you can find only type12 in 19″ online but not for E87
Yes, but it’s about him wanting to drive the aluminium (Bavaria Technik GmbH) 8×18 ET45 with 225/40/18 front and rear.
The report lists its vehicle, with this tyre size and with requirements.
It cannot be seen from the supports, if the vehicle is otherwise standard, it should not drive these rims at the front and rear with 225/40/18.
Hello
presumably you have 7.5″ oxigin on it the fit still under it and are especially on the front axle on the suspension leg still free-running enough for 225 tires
8″ are about 20cm, 7.5 are 18.5 and 8.5 are about 21cm “hornmaul width” plus rim wall thickness
http://www.reifencomputer.at/index.html?
The maximum passes permitted by BMW on the HA is 225/40 8×18 ET 49 that are 5mm further inside on the horn (10mm less overall track) and you had to change the lip if not already on work (6 cylinder types, M package)
https://www.reifencomputer.at/index.html?&1rb=225&1rh=40&1throughm=18&1fb=8&1et=45&2rb=225&2rh=40&2throughm=18&2fb=8&2et=49
Otherwise, you have to remeasure the track and because fall, but due to ageing/wear, the axle sits and becomes “jointing” (more flexible) and gets more fall, so “top” more air in the wheel box than in the new state

This is actually the relevant expert report. I’ve been through the TÜV with the oxigin two times, and I’ll also give you an opinion. The Aluett Type 12 rims have a lot more distance (without spacer rings), no idea why my 1 BMW is listed in the review.
May you (please read the requirements if you fill them all).
