Daith piercing, what should I do?

I have had a daith piercing for 2 years.

I've always had problems with swollen flesh. The piercing looked fine over the past few weeks, though. Today I wanted to replace it. Everything went well, except I couldn't get the piercing out completely. A small piece was visible, but it just wouldn't go all the way through. It looked like there was still swollen flesh there and I just couldn't get it through.

When it started bleeding, I stopped.

Is there still a chance for the piercing?

How quickly does it grow back?

And I won't be able to avoid the piercer, will I? I have a small child at home, so I'm not that flexible.

Or can I just wait a bit and then try again?

Thank you 😊

The Daith is now a piercing which is quite unsuitable for self-exchanging…

You should definitely go to the piercer today, then re-entering should not be too difficult.

Better ask the piercer himself.
