D Andrea Mare Rhodes Plane Spotting?
Vacation booked, Rhodes, Greece, Pentecost, 8 nights, 4-star plus, family of 4, €5,600, priced within reason. Booked with RB, whose owner I've known for years. Good reviews on portals. It's well known that not everything here is perfect. The goal: to get away with the family.
Reality: Hotel is very… outdated. Food is disgusting. I'll spare everyone involved the details of everything else. The staff at least tries hard. However, it's impossible to keep up with the promises. None of this bothers me. For God's sake, I don't want any compensation from the tour operator.
What is difficult to bear, however, is:
The hotel is located in the approach path of Rhodes Airport!!!
For example, tomorrow, May 25, 2024, more than 110 aircraft will fly over the hotel on approach at a height of just a few hundred meters. Low enough to be able to see the airline, etc.
One question is why such information is nowhere to be found online. I consider this simply a scam.
The other question is who had a similar experience and not only in the above-mentioned
Hotel?

I’ve been going to D’ Andrea Mare for years. No hotel has done it to me as much as this. The food is good, not excellent, but perfectly fine. All clean, air-conditioned – yes the Swim-Up bar could be re-made and some new (plastic) cups. Otherwise for my taste everything is great. What exactly did you not like?
That with the planes has never disturbed us personally, on the contrary, I look every time, which airline and it is really partly interesting. But of course not everyone has such a “aircraft fetish”. It can be difficult with small children. However, we were aware of this at our first booking because the proximity to the airport was noted. In addition, a look at GoogleMaps would have made it clear.
I’m very sorry that you didn’t like it. I have been visiting Andrea D’Mare for years and this summer again, but the tastes are now different

If you book a hotel 7km from the airport and complain about airplanes, you have to blame yourself! You can argue about taste when eating. Others seem to taste it and the reviews on the online portals speak for themselves!
