Currently going to Paris?
Hello everyone,
I'm currently faced with a decision, so my question is: Do you think it's safe to travel to Paris right now because of the pension reform and the protests? Or would you advise against it?
Maybe someone was just there and can report…
Thank you in advance for your opinions.
LG
I'd be moving a trip to Paris right now.
With force majeure, you can reclaim your money.
Hello,
Finally, no one can really take your decision. Relevant could now be your travel date. If you travel tomorrow, the decision is more urgent than if you travel in two weeks. A lot can happen in two weeks.
I assume that you have not booked a package trip, but individual services. In a flat-rate trip, you might be able to resign because of the security situation – whether the currently existing outrages are already enough… at least questionable. If individual components are booked, you can only hope for money back if the respective service provider is accommodating.
Best regards, Chris
Edit: I would probably still travel and inform myself on the respective day where the protests are planned and avoid the respective district to look at others. Paris is not very small. In addition, it is more timely to be on the move – demonstrations often have the property to become gross later on the day.
I would avoid Paris as beautiful as the city is usually.
You can't see in the future. But usually calms down. In addition: Paris is very large. This means that if there are demonstrations, you can easily handle it. Then you look at another neighborhood on the day or drive to Versailles (ok, on a weekend you shouldn't do that).
Drive to Paris; it is one of the most beautiful cities ever. It's huge, and no one's after you. Some would drive straight ahead Now… and if that doesn't apply to you, you'll avoid the demos.
