Create liquid with desired pH value?

Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask how I can easily create a range of liquids with a pH between 7 and 8. It would be great if this could be done using standard chemicals that are available in every school.

2.Can this be achieved by diluting a liquid with water?

Or 3. Is there an easy way to add a buffer for this?

Thank you

Dilution: No, it’s too inaccurate.

Recipes for buffer mixtures are countless, even with harmless chemicals customary in school laboratories. Examples of suitable chemicals are citric acid, di-sodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, ammonium chloride. Ammonia, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide solution, sodium acetate, acetic acid etc. The exact recipe depends on the desired pH value. These recipes are found in the usual table books.

1. The Ph value is obtained by acids or alkalis. So simply mix an acid with an equally strong alkali (same amount)

Two. Yes

3. What do you mean using buffer?
