Create a second eBay account?

I can't log into my eBay account because I've set up two-factor authentication (I get a text message with a code), but I lost my old phone and SIM card. eBay support told me it could take up to a week to remove my old number from the system and add my new one.

It takes too long for me because I want to participate in auctions.

Can I just create a new eBay account? Then I'd have two. Is that okay? What do I need to keep in mind? Any experience?
