Create a private connection to game servers?

Good Morning,

You're probably familiar with VPNs, which allow you to switch servers from region to region in games, among other things. Is there a way to bypass the lag while still playing on the server in the other region? For example, creating a private connection to the game's server should significantly reduce lag, right?

No, this is not possible. The delay is of a technical and physical nature, so the light pulses with subsequent processing simply need a certain ytime on the other side of the earth.

It may be clear that the network makes certain detours to your target server, but it is not easy to place a fiber optic cable with appropriate technology from your router to the target server.

Yes, however, this is practically not feasible and meaningless. If you use a VPN, your signal goes virtually via the server that gives you the VPN option and then to the target server. Since these are sometimes huge routes, there is now a small latency.

If you play normally in a game in a Loby in Oceania, you also have a certain latency

in a VPN a signal always goes away a longer one… what do you mean by “private line”?

This has no real influence, because the corresponding line has a wide bandwidth and if it were short, you would have a small bandwidth, means lower down and upload rates and not necessarily another latency

that would be a stand line… I guess so. with 500 million € – 1 billion you should expect to do this… many times only 10 million if you only rent a phase somewhere instead of laying your own. Then the game provider would still have to accept traffic from this line…

in short: what you do not want 🙂
