CPU usage constantly at 100% despite PC having top performance?

Hello everyone,

I'm having an issue with my Windows 11 PC where the CPU usage is constantly very high, reaching 100%. This happens constantly, regardless of what I'm doing. Even very simple activities like scrolling or opening programs cause the CPU usage to rise to 60-100%. The usage remains high even when I'm not using any applications. I've already restarted the PC, checked background processes, set the power plan to "High Performance," and installed all Windows updates. Despite these measures, the problem persists. An antivirus scan also found no viruses or malware.

CPU usage often increases automatically, causing the PC to freeze or hang. In Task Manager, I don't see any clear processes causing the high usage, or at least none that can be easily terminated. Do any of you have similar problems with high CPU usage and know what the cause might be? What other steps could I try to resolve the issue?

Of course, this always gets suspicious that would be helpful to know what hardware it is exactly

Even while screenshots on your task manager are relatively helpful there you may see what process your CPU loads so much even if the process may not tell you anything

A review with the malwareBytes program could be useful

set the energy saving plan to “high power”

It’s best to reset this that you probably have from any YouTube videos talking about some garbage but actually have no idea this setting brings at your system usage nothing at all to prevent it from high performance you just that your computer can reduce the performance a little to save energy if you don’t need it a power increase or a problem solution, but that never does

I know this psychic is very popular in youtube videos

Also letting a run through Windows Defender would make sense

Hi.

Well, something has to turn up computing power, or claiming, by itself the computer does not do that, and 100% are really much.

Malware would be the usual suspect.

Switch off the internet, whether the CPU will also drive high line.
