CPU problem in games?

  1. I have a problem with my CPU. I have an i5-12400f and a gtx 3060ti. I'm having problems in Fortnite (and other games). I have a 2k monitor and would like to use my 165fps, but even with the lowest settings I get around 80-120fps and it's stuttering. In this case, the CPU is almost constantly at 100% capacity. Could this be due to something else, or is this normal? If so, which CPU should I upgrade to? My motherboard is compatible with Intel's 12th and 13th generation CPUs. Thank you for your help.

Your CPU is a bottleneck. Can’t keep up with the performance of other components like your graphics card.

If you want to have it a little cheaper, you can use the Intel Core i5-12600K. Some of them are already available for 100€.

If it may be a bit more, take the Intel Core i7-12700K, for example.

Think the i7-12700k is really enough for 165 fps 2k approx. High settings or should I go higher, I also have a second 2k screen I also need to consider?
