Corona test, how does it work?
Hello,
I've been wondering for a long time how a test like this works.
(I don't want to know how to take a test)
But how does it work? How does it show two lines for a positive result and only one for a negative one?
Is there something in this liquid that detects coronaviruses and then produces something that makes the second line darker when viruses are detected?
(That's my guess)
Essentially, antibodies to the spike proteins on the surface of the virus are in the pad. These antibodies are colored with gold particles. Colloidal gold has a purple color. The virus fragments or viruses are thus marked.
The marked antibodies migrate through the strip. At one point, this strip is marked with other antibodies for the spike protein, these antibodies being fixed to the strip. The marked viruses are now hanging at this point.
The antibodies without spike protein pass through this region.
On the second strip is a protein which binds the remaining antibodies.
Since the first stripe only holds the marked viruses, it only dyes when viruses are in the sample. Since the second stripe binds everything, it always turns when the liquid wanders through this strip.
Believe there’s something in there that reacts with the bacteria. That’s the red line.
But see yourself. Most are for the crisp
Your guess is not a fact. I don’t know how it works, but maybe it helps you:
Why should untested widespread nonsense help anyone?

Who knows nothing has to believe everything. Some resemble that with education, others with bullshit they see somewhere.
Please do not misunderstand: this is not an invitation to the discussion. But as a scientist, I just have to contradict this humbug.
I will not read your replica on my comment (is total waste of time). So my tip: get right over me again, because I won’t respond to it, you’ll find yourself a winner.
