Cooling drinks in large quantities?
Hello,
Since my birthday is in the summer, I would like to celebrate my 18th this year in a kind of allotment garden, as there is a small pond there
The problem is, I don't know how to chill the drinks. 30-40 people are scheduled to come, and I don't have electricity there.
I read something about dry ice on the internet, but it says you need 9 kg for 4-6 people for one evening and a kilo costs about 3 €, which means I would need around 80 kilos at least.
Does anyone have any ideas what else could be done?
The pond is not particularly deep and therefore very warm in summer.
Get big tubs, buy large bags with ice cubes at the gas station. They’re not expensive. Put the bottles in the tubs and grab the ice on top. If the bottles are precooled, you need less ice.
Be careful with larger amounts of dry ice. That wouldn’t be the first party to complain to the dead because of unreasonable handling of dry ice. The ice becomes gaseous CO2, which can displace oxygen and collects in dishes or cellars.
Ok thank you had also considered
Imagine there are generators
Yes, but have refrigerators that you can take with you where drinks fit for so many people
