Compulsory company year?
Hey, for some time now, people have been talking about a voluntary social year. Unfortunately, I'm still lacking concrete plans for it. For me, that means, for example:
(20 years old, have just started my studies and have already completed a 3 1/2 year apprenticeship with a high school diploma).
The social year is supposed to last until age 25. Does this still affect me, even though I've already made my contribution during my training? (I worked in a hospital for a long time during my training), or can I relax and focus on my studies?
Unfortunately, I can't find anything about it, just theories. What do you think? Thanks!
There are still many concrete things. In principle, it should apply to “young people”, but an age limit was not mentioned. And no, a training in the hospital wouldn’t count because that’s wage labor. The year of duty was about doing something that serves society and not your wallet.
In the end, the talk about such a compulsory year is only an attempt to curb the lack of personnel in nursing professions by persuading young people to work in the hospital and paying them badly for it. Nothing else.
For such a mandatory year, there are only stupid slogans, but no plans yet. Even if a new government would decide and agree to the Bundestag (which is not sure), an introduction would only come in a few years since it is still necessary to create infrastructure.
It would require an authority that would have to be set up, then it would have to collect data, jobs would have to be created, and much more, that is, at least five years.
By the way: the statement “up to 25” does not refer to the fact that blind 25 years old. There has been a compulsory service and this should be similar: all 18 years are written and convened, but if school, training or studies are up to date, no one has to interrupt, then one has to start service until the 25th time. And your 18th is over – so you’re out.
In the heading is “obligatory” and in the text “voluntary”. What is it now?Conscription or voluntary?Beides does not go together.
Well, an education is not exactly a contribution to society 😉
But until that comes, you are probably already retired
