Hello, I'd like to keep my crypto coins secure, which is why I'm currently considering getting a cold wallet or, as a second option, a trust wallet. Since I don't need a USB drive for the trust wallet like I do with the cold wallet, I think I'll go for that instead. Is that just as secure, though, or why do so many people have a cold wallet when it's easier with a trust wallet?

Eine Hardware Wallet (Coldwallet) (am besten eine Bitbox02) kann nicht gehacked werden da sie Offline ist und alle Sachen auf der Hardware signiert werden müssen.
Eine Software Wallet (Hotwallet) ist immer meist immer online und kann daher leichter gehacked werden oder ist anderen Online Angriffen ausgesetzt.
Am wichtigsten ist jedoch wie die Seedphrase zum Wiederherstellen aufbewahrt wird. Diese sollte am besten auf einer Stahlwallet oder Titanwallet gestanzt werden.
As I said, Trustwallet is a provider you have to trust. For significant amounts, I would ALWAYS prefer a cold wallet like the BitBox02.

That's up to you. Since a hardware wallet costs around €100, the amount should obviously be larger than that, but whether 500, 1,000, or 10,000 is relevant for you is up to you.
Das kommt auf die wallet an, die man benutzt. Bei z.B. Relai kann man die Gebühr bzw zu mindestens den Bereich selbst einstellen. Das Ergebnis ist dann, dass es länger dauert bis die Transaktion durch ist.
