Cold against spiders?
About 1.5 months ago, I noticed a large, black dot on the edge of the ceiling. I thought it was two spiders because it was somehow able to divide. Today, I went into the kitchen for a moment, came back, and saw the dot was gone. I looked down from where the dot was, and I saw it was a cross spider. Unfortunately, I couldn't catch it with a tissue.
I've been thinking about opening both windows while spraying the vinegar. I have fly screens on both. Spiders like it warm, but it's relatively cold outside (unfortunately only 9°C, but it's supposed to rain). Would that work, or will it stay hidden down here and show up sometime in a week or so when I don't need it at all?
Unfortunately, these things only die at temperatures below -20°C…I really have zero sympathy for these creatures…
A glass is more suitable for catching. A piece of paper is then pushed under the opening.
Before you get rid of the spider, remember that no one eats the little insects from which the spider feeds.
This was unfortunately in a position where it was hard to catch them with a glass. Wouldn't have assumed any more time. And the little insects aren't such a problem for me, either I blew them, my cats, or they're going away even when I'm sprayed with vinegar like a crazy one. And small insects that I don't even get, I'm honestly much better than an eight-legged one who likes to roam on me, means the critters have NO fear of me TwT
You could get some liquid nitrogen for cold and spread on the ground
I don't know if that's so good, I've got to take it and don't want it to breathe in.
