Codein and cannabis may share individual effects similar to those described by users. Basically, however, these are completely different substances. Cannabis acts above all through the cannabinoids contained therein, but codein is an opioid. The risk of dependence is relatively high for the latter.

That’s what says.

Codein acts stronger, dampens more and makes significantly more noise/slower. Consumers who know both substances usually advise codein because it has a much higher dependence potential and is therefore much more difficult to control.
