Coat color dun changes (pony)?

I have had a dun Pottok pony gelding for many years.
Every year when he changes his coat he chooses a new color, like a chameleon 🤷🏽♀️🙈
So one summer it is so light that you would think it was almost turning into a mold and the next summer it is really dark or more towards “orange”.
The mane also plays a part, sometimes black, white, brown or this “orange” tinge 🙈
He also has two “blue” eyes, but at least they always stay the same 😂
Sure, in winter most of them get darker but I'm only talking about summer here ^^
Is it really a falbe or what is it?
Vet, osteopath etc. everything has been checked and he is in great shape ☺️
