CMD or wisdom teeth?

A few days ago I went to the ear doctor because of earache. The doctor pressed on my jaw after finding nothing in my ears.

Because it hurt, she suspected it was CMD. That would also explain the regular headaches I've had for a few years.

I also went to the dentist yesterday morning, but he said that it is not CMD because I can still open my mouth normally and that it could be my wisdom teeth. I have another appointment, but not for another three weeks, which is not exactly pleasant to wait for with the pressure in my mouth.

What do you think is more likely?

I tap CMD. (This is not a diagnosis).

Go to a dentist who gets on CMD, gnathology, functional analysis and functional therapy specialized. Or when you live near a university, you go to the university clinic and treat yourself there.

Dentists in your environment, with this special training you can find on the Internet. A established dentist without this additional training can usually not help you with a dysfunction. There is also the wrong contact person here.

I have a dentist nearby who is also specialized on it, but can I just go there if I’m usually with another dentist?

Yeah, you can.

Do you think it’s gonna do something if I wait until after the next ZA appointment?

You have to decide. I don’t know how bad your complaints are. You can, of course, stay with your old ZA with the other treatments, such as dental stone removals, cleaning etc.
