Clone hard drive under and with Windows 10?
I have a very slow HDD in my AMD computer, and I want to clone its contents , including Windows 10, to a much faster SSD !
The slow HHD has a storage capacity of 1.81 TB (1853 GB) (C:/System) , of which 136 GB are occupied by Windows 10 and programs and 1.68 TB are free!
The fast SSD has a storage capacity of 223 GB (F:/ Backup) and is freshly formatted!
I want to clone the contents of the HDD (C:/System) to the new SSD (F:/Backup) with "Macrium Reflect (free)"!
Problem-01: Can I clone the 136 GB content from the larger HDD completely (including Windows 10) to the 223 GB smaller but faster SSD, or do both disks have to have the same total storage capacity?
Problem 2: The moment I cloned the 136 GB of the old HDD to the 223 GB of the new SSD , Windows 10 appeared twice! Can I format the old HDD before rebooting, or is that not possible because Windows 10 is also on the old HDD?
Problem-03: Can I rename the new SSD to C:/System and the old HDD to F:/Backup, or is there a problem because Windows 10 is present twice at that moment?
Problem-04: Does the BIOS recognize (if it works) that it should now boot from the new SSD and no longer from the old HHD?
Thanks for your help!
Windows cannot clone, as you already need a high-quality operating system like the free Linux Mint.
If Linux Mint (or another Live Linux) is booted by the USB pen, the following console command is sufficient for cloning:

Partition size changes are easy with the Live System GParted.
The operation (shift, reduce, adjust size, reformat) is quite simple.
