Climb vertical speed?

Good morning,

I see in some YouTube videos that, just before cruising altitude, as soon as the speed in the top left corner of the PFD changes to Mach, the pilots themselves increase the vertical speed a bit. Why is this? Does this make the aircraft faster and allow you to climb faster, or what's the problem, and how can I simulate this in XP12? Thanks in advance.

Usually you climb with Vy (best rate of climb) usually around the 1500 fpm (feet per minute) is also the toughest rate for the passengers. 1000 ft before reaching the Curise Altitude then the so-called level off is initiated. For this purpose, the VS (Vertical Speed) is reduced to 500 fpm.
