I always take razor foam, where a small corner should be tried first. Carefully pick up, let it pull for a while, sometimes easily rub, then the foam is often no longer white when dirt dissolves. Then clean the corner with water and let it dry, look that it does not stick or the color dissolves. (Can happen if it is not an acrylic or oil color. In case stop cleaning yourself).

However, if everything is good, you can lubricate the entire surface with shaving foam (do not spray fat, it is too laborious to get everything back foam-free), rub in or after with a solid brush, as a fine brush replacement.

Call Mr. Bean, he knows how it is. No fun!!!!

Try it impregnated with a soft cloth in mild soap liquor. Or also with slightly moistened cotton. Of course, always with possible risks and side effects!
