Classwork and eye problems?
Hello,
I was in hospital for the last 5 days and can go back to school tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have eye problems at the moment and can't even read my math homework. We had a math test tomorrow. I can see everything very blurry and need glasses. I'm about to get a headache. I have one too, but I want to go to school because we have the last lesson before the English test tomorrow and it's important. But I can't write a test in this condition. What should I do? Do you think it would be better if my parents wrote a letter to my math teacher? (9th grade)
Thanks
Your parents should inform your homeroom teacher in writing that you are attending class but have difficulty seeing and have a headache. They should request that you be excused from written and reading assignments until further notice.
Otherwise, it is absolutely necessary that you go to the eye doctor immediately and obtain an appropriate certificate so that you have the chance to catch up on the missed classwork or exams as soon as you can see again.
Not being able to see properly is reason enough for a medical certificate exempting you from school duties, which require this sharp vision, until your condition improves. However, in an emergency, a corresponding notification from your parents should also suffice.
