CHKDSK E: /f deleted my folder?

Hello,

I tried to open a folder with photos and videos from my old hard drive, but I couldn't open the photos or videos. I followed a YouTube tutorial and entered the command "chkdsk E: /f" in the CMD. However, I didn't click "Y" or "N" at the end. Suddenly, my folder disappeared, and I can't find it anymore. What can I do?

The folder was obviously broken. That’s why you couldn’t open it.

Activate the hidden files and search in the root directory or where the folder was for “found” folders.

If you have it, then make a backup of your plate and try to restore the images using tools.
If you don’t have it, get the record and bring it to someone who can save data.

In future, you should also create a backup of your most important ones.

Okay. Then if the files are important to you, bring this to someone who does data recovery. It is best to use without any further use (so also not the computer where the plate is inside).
