Check USB stick storage capacity?
Hello,
I wanted a USB stick and found a cheap one online (€2 for 8 GB). I thought it was worth a try for that price, so I ordered it without hesitation. But I wanted to ask, since I've often heard that PCs recognize such sticks with 8 GB, but they only have 2 GB or so. How can I check this? (I have Windows 10)
Thanks in advance to everyone who answers!
8 GB are not equal to 8GB.
It also depends on how fast it is, because that is a difference.
for example a fresh Windows installation. Can take 30 minutes or 2 H!
But 8 GB for 2€, can only be a cheap stick, only if the shipment is already included.

Yes, this tool is also always when I have ordered a new stick “from China” – a few were even tested and found out as FAKE.
Hello,
an 8GB USB 2 stick is now long mass goods,
where you hardly have to cheat.
Interesting when it comes to USB sticks with 256 and 512GB or even with 1TB.
You just have to write it full and see how many data have been stuck.
But 2 euros are also 2 euros.

Thank you. I will do it with a software (h2testw)
