Check engine light flashing, car accelerates unevenly?
Hello everyone,
I recently got a Peugeot 307cc (80kw 1.6 16V petrol), which had been sitting in a garage for about 2 years and wasn't running (if that matters).
I've always had the impression that it didn't have the full 110 hp since I started driving the car, and I didn't think anything of it at first.
When accelerating, it is often the case that it accelerates unevenly or jerks slightly when accelerating, especially in the slightly lower speed range at around 2000 rpm, but also at around 3000.
It seems as if it has more power for a short time, but then it drops again.
And now, for the second time, the shuddering has been accompanied by a flashing check engine light, always while driving slightly uphill. The accompanying text reads: "Exhaust gas purification anomaly."
It would be great if someone could help me so that unburned fuel doesn't destroy my catalytic converter in the future or something like that.
If you don't want to drive with it anymore, unscrew your spark plugs and check whether they are completely black or even wet.
If necessary, replace naturally
Severe misfiring at full load can also trigger a flashing MIL. Otherwise, an error code is required.
All right, thanks 👍
Flashing MKL means "Do not drive any further, turn off engine"
What does the error log say?
I don't know exactly how to read the error log, at least I don't have a reader.
Then that would be a case for the workshop.
