Cheap PC components for programming games?

Hello, I'd like to start creating my first game in Unreal Engine 5. Which graphics card, motherboard, etc. would you recommend, or are the cheapest ones that would still be feasible? If you have any other tips on how to make good games with slightly less powerful systems, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

quite honestly: Programming games goes on every potato. If you can find out with longer charging times, this is not a problem, then you don’t even need a graphics card. It also comes to the genre, and whether 2D or 3D, etc. there is a lot of a role.

Better hardware only reduces charging times and you have more FPS in Blender or the like, for example, for 3D modeling, but as long as you are patient, it works with any hardware (so long Windows 10 runs smoothly). Graphically challenging Open World games might need a little better hardware (even if you’re provoking it on bad hardware), but until you’re ready… that’s not relevant first.

Conclusion: Buy the best that matches your budget, but it doesn’t have to be an overkill PC.

PS.: 2D games are a good start and also not so hardware-loading. :

I hope I could help you.

I would not recommend starting directly with the Unreal Engine it is a bit complicated, learn to program in C# and then I would recommend Unity, otherwise: PROGRAMME ON JEDEM PC

Unity is not really a good engine especially for expensive games and for multiplayer games also not good and why you should first learn something completely different you don’t even learn to become a roomer even though you want to become an electrician

I find Unity much easier for the start than Unreal Engine as well as I didn’t find the switch very hard. But it’s a matter of thought

Villeicht did it directly with Unreal Engine but it is now quite overwhelming at the beginning.

So would you also recommend someone the electric engineer wants to become a mason training first?

For the beginning, performence and safety will not be much, and when I tried Unreal Engine at the beginning I was very overwhelmed.

Naja unreal can last a lot from home but you can also just focus on the basic things then that is exactly the same and unity also has extremely many drawbacks Bzw very serious disadvantages especially in terms of performance and safety

I wouldn’t start directly with unreal engine at your point.

So would you advise me to learn rooftops before I learn electrical engineering?
