Change university, recognition of failed attempts and exam results?
Hello!
I am at the end of my BA studies, all I am missing is the BA itself and three final exams.
I am in the third session of one of the last three exams, which means I have NOT yet lost my right to take the exam.
For personal reasons, I now want to transfer universities and complete the same degree program there. Will the two failed exam attempts be automatically transferred, or something similar? Or will I get three new attempts for this subject?
The new university also offers the subject, but you get more ECTS points there and the content of the exam differs significantly from mine. Will the failed attempts still be counted?
Greetings
If it’s the same degree, you won’t get any new exams, but at best a third attempt. Check out at the Examination Office of the new university (and in addition at the central university) how this is handled at this university.
Why a third attempt at best? He’s coming to me anyway because I haven’t written it yet.
Okay, so just because the compartment on the paper is the same, and despite the fact that content differs largely and, for example, there are also seminars and internships for this subject at the new university, the wrong attempts are nevertheless accepted? That seems quite unfair. Then, however, performance recognitions would have to take place equally easily if the competencies are not important, but only the title of the module?
Update: I was directly explored at the university. Missing tests are NOT accepted.
In addition, if you have not yet lost your claim for examination, you can’t threaten a “at best a third-party attempt” because you can’t fall through examinations without writing them before…please don’t spread such misinformation! It is either possible to take the wrong attempts, so if, for example, 2/3 attempts have not been passed, one has another. Whether faulty attempts are transferred depends on the university, ask or read PO has helped very much.
