Change of training company after completing the first year of training?

Hello dear community,

I'd like to move to Munich and secure an apprenticeship at the same time. I'd like to start my apprenticeship here in Nuremberg, as I'm still dependent on my parents as a minor. I've already done some research, and if I understand correctly, you ca n't change companies in the middle of your first year of apprenticeship (assuming a three-year apprenticeship). However, once the first year is over, you can? So that must mean that three contracts are required for a three-year apprenticeship. Am I understanding that correctly?
